Lehigh Acres 23-Month-Old Girl Who Was Abused Dies From Injuries
A 23-month-old girl who was rushed to the hospital earlier this month after she was severely abused has died, according to NBC2.
According to the report. the toddler had several injuries including multiple skull fractures, full-body bruising, a brain bleed, a broken clavicle, and a damaged spleen.
Yannier Valezquez-Orjeda, 36, was arrested and faces charges of cruelty towards a child (aggravated child abuse).
Orjeda was released from jail on bond for the amount of $250,000.
A trial is scheduled for June 15th, 2020.
