Guy Traveling To Florida Tries To Get Flight Attendants To Join ‘Mile High Club’
This could probably only happen on a flight to or from Florida. A guy traveling from Louisville to Orlando on Spirit Airlines was arrested after witnesses said he was disruptive on the plane, grabbing a flight attendant and asking her and another and another employee to join him in the “mile high club.”
According to clickorlando.com, a criminal complaint was filed in federal court against James Finnister. It said he was on Spirit Airlines Flight 693 heading from Kentucky to Orlando on Tuesday. It also stated that Finnister initially asked the lead flight attendant if she would like to join the “mile high club.” He then grabbed another attendant, pulling her into his seat and asking her the same question. As if that wasn’t enough, Finnister also asked several questions about the cockpit. The flight attendants said those questions included whether or not they wanted to enter the cockpit.
Once the plane landed, police officers said Finnister admitted to his inappropriate questions and actions. He also informed those officers he did several shots of alcohol before the flight because he was nervous and had never flown before.
Finnister has been slapped with federal charges of interfering with the performance of the duties of flight crew members. He appeared in federal court Wednesday where a judge let him go on the condition that he shows up for his upcoming court dates.
Although it’s understandable that he was nervous about the first flight of his life, it gives him no right to get sloppy drunk and inappropriate. Someone needs to tell him that no matter what he’s read in questionable magazines or seen in movies, most of us will fly several times in our lives and never join the “mile high club.”
