Cape Coral Man’s Semi Truck Was Stolen
Craig Thatcher of Cape Coral, Fl, is out of a job after his tool of the trade was stolen from him. His maroon semi-truck.
He transports frozen foods and medical supplies around the country including in Southwest Florida.
Because of Cape Coral’s ban on having semi-trucks parked on people’s personal property, he had to park his truck at Target.
He was getting ready to haul medical supplies to Atlanta on Tuesday when he noticed that his truck was missing.
Surveillance video showed a silver sedan circling the semi before the thieves hopped out, hot-wired the car, and headed north toward Punta Gorda.
It would cost Thatcher around $70,000 to replace.
“Stealing that from me is taking food off our table, and I can’t even imagine how many people’s tables,” said Thatcher.
If you know anything about the theft, contact the Cape Coral Police Department.
