74-Year-Old Fights Off Gator To Save Her Dog
A Boca Raton woman was in for a shock when she took her dog for an evening stroll at a lake at Burt Aaronson Park west on Aug. 24.
Things took a turn for the worst when the woman decided to take her dog off the leash. Her dog ran into the water and a six-foot alligator attacked. So 74-year-old Suzan Marciano decided to fight back.
She told the Palm Beach Post, “I wasn’t thinking, I did the only thing I could do. I came down on the alligator with all my weight.”
Thankfully, they both survived and are recovering from their injuries.
When the gator released Nalu, Suzan Marciano figured she had spooked it. Then the gator turned and sunk its teeth into her hand.
