Abducted Florida Girl Is Reunited With Her Mother After 14 Years
A Florida girl that was abducted back in 2007 has now been reunited with her mother this month.
The mother, Angelica Vences-Salgado, was contacted via social media by someone that was claiming to be her daughter. She asked if they could meet at the Texas-Mexico border.
Through multiple US agencies, they determined that the woman claiming to be the abducted daughter was in fact, Jacqueline Hernandez.
She was abducted by her father, Pablo Hernandez, on Dec. 22 of 2007. His whereabouts now are unknown.
Clermont Police Chief Charles Broadway said in a statement, “This is a prime example of what can be accomplished when multiple law enforcement agencies and their respective communities work cooperatively together and maintain open lines of communication, In this case, several agencies in different counties and states across the nation were able to create a force multiplier and aid in reuniting the victim with her mother after 14 years.”
They have since been reunited.
