11-Year-Old Scares Off Burglars From His Cape Coral Home
Thanks to a quick-thinking 11-year-old in Cape Coral, Fl, a family’s home is safe from an attempted burglary.
A man and a woman were reportedly banging on the front door of this Cape Coral home while the 11-year-old was home alone. When he didn’t answer, the couple went to the backdoor and jimmied it open.
The 11-year-old confronted them, but they were on the phone pretending to be speaking with his dad. They even tried handing the phone to the kid. Fortunately, his instincts told him something was very wrong so he grabbed a pair of scissors and a knife and threatened them.
This action from this smart kid scared them away from the property.
He told WINK News off-camera that he was scared for his life.
He immediately called 911 and dispatchers were able to get ahold of the mother informing her of the situation.
Apparently, neighbors also saw them banging on the front door and they pulled the same ‘on the phone with dad’ trick they had pulled on the kid.
The Cape Coral Police department is currently looking for any information regarding this duo.
