Shooting Suspect Leads Chase From Downtown Fort Myers To Lehigh Acres

A shooting was reported in the area of Hendry and Main Street in downtown Fort Myers around 2 AM on Monday morning, with the suspect leading a chase from Downtown Fort Myers to Lehigh Acres.
6-7 shots were fired and no victims were found at the scene.
A suspect matching the description of the shooter fled the scene in a blue pickup truck and almost hit a couple of officers as he fled the scene.
A police chase ensued and ended in a crash at Lee Boulevard and Sunshine Boulevard in Lehigh Acres.
The suspect took off on foot and the gun used in the shooting was found in the truck.
