Man Arrested At RSW For Trafficking 24 Lbs. Of Weed
Jelani Reid was in for a long series of flights on Dec 13th. He was traveling all the way from Sacramento California to Fort Myers Florida with a layover in Atlanta Georgia.
But I don’t think this journey was a family visit for the holidays because of the cargo Reid was holding.
His cargo? 24 lbs of Marijuana.
Marijuana may be legal in California, but it’s illegal to cross state lines with it.
Officials in Sacramento knew marijuana was in his luggage so they tipped off the other authorities in his final destination of Fort Myers.
He was welcomed by the LCSO, DEA, and FHP.
