Florida Man Who Beat Seagull With Shovel On Marco Island Beach Is Wanted By Police
This reminds me of that movie, The Lighthouse, when Willem Dafoe said, “Bad luck to kill a seabird!”
The Marco Island Police Department is looking for a man that was attacking Seagulls on South Beach.
This unidentified man was with a group of friends that were luring in seagulls with food, only to attack them when they got close. He attacked them with anything available, including his straw hat, a football, and even a shovel.
One of the worst parts is that his group of friends was cheering him on.
He hit two birds. One of them was able to fly away but the other was badly injured. After injuring the bird, the man picked it up and spread its wings to take a picture. He then tossed the bird into the sand.
The bird had to be taken to the Conservancy of Southwest Florida but had to be euthanized due to its injuries.
Anyone with any information is encouraged to call the Marco Island Police Department at (239) 389-5050.
