Florida Man Arrested For Threatening School Kids On Social Media
Boyd Guard, 68, of Fort Myers is in a lot of trouble after a social media post he made.
He made a post on Facebook that said “I decided to start my day by killing school children. Our governor beat me to it.”
According to Hernando County Sheriff’s office is also accusing Guard of posing as an investigator under a fake name. He walked into Brooksville Elementary School on August 13th saying that he needed to investigate a student assault.
He told school officials that they should know he was there. That’s when authorities became aware of his Facebook post.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office has been to his home, which is just across the street from Cypress Lake High School and Middle School.
Sheriff Carmine Marceno is now talking to a judge to see if he falls under the red flag law, which would remove all weapons from his ownership.
The Lee County School District has been made aware of the situation.
