Non-Profit Is Set To Restore Heard Opera House In Arcadia

The 1906 Heard Opera House in downtown Arcadia has lied dormant for almost 60 years now. But a non-profit is now looking to open it up to the community and give it new life.
Walking into the old venue is like walking into a time machine. Filled with antiques and even old costumes from past performances.
The 1906 Heard Opera House stayed busy for the first half of the century and was a landmark for the city of Arcadia.
The restoration project will take around 6-10 years to finish. But they plan on having their first performance back this winter with A Christmas Carol.
