Did A Florida Man Have Something To Do With The Assassination Of The President Of Haiti?
63-year-old Christian Emmanuel Sanon, a doctor based in Florida, is being accused by the Haitian National Police Chief, Léon Charles, of playing a major role in the assassination of Haitian President, Jovenel Moïse. He has since been arrested.
Sanon flew into Haiti in June with “Political Objectives” and supposedly hired a security firm that contained some of the men involved in the assassination of Moïse. He hired them to be his bodyguards during his time in Haiti.
The hit was carried out last Wednesday and was mostly comprised of Columbians. 21 of around 28 people involved have been arrested.
Sanon was hoping to assume the presidency under the assassination. With one of his successors dead from Covid-19, there have been multiple people fighting for the title of president.
Haiti’s Senate has recently voted to make Joseph Lambert its acting president.
