A Cape Coral Mother And Her Three Children Were Assaulted During A Road Rage Incident
A Cape Coral man is facing battery and burglary charges after a road rage incident that happened at the Shoot Center parking lot.
Christopher Velez, 40, was allegedly driving recklessly. The victims and Velez exchanged words and he ended up throwing a protein shake into their car, striking one of the children.
He ended up cutting them off and forced them into the Shoot Center parking lot. He got out of his car and attempted to drag the females out of the car and dragged the driver by the shirt.
The girls began to fight back and managed to escape with only minor injuries.
Master Corporal Phillip Mullen of the Cape Coral Police Department said, “If you try to pull them out of their car, you’ve now entered their vehicle without permission, to commit a crime within that vehicle. That’s a burglary.”
