Florida Man Buys $1500 Of Yeti Coolers With A Stolen Card

Dennis Oates of Fort Myers had to make a trip to the gas station. He forgot his card in the chip reader and didn’t realize that until he got home.
Almost right away, he received a text message that his card had been used at Sunshine Ace Hardware. The suspected card thief can be seen on camera purchasing $1500 of yeti coolers.
Oates said that he immediately canceled the card, but not before the suspect could spend another $800 at the Target.
The credit card reimbursed him. But he fears that this is far from over.
Sometimes credit card scammers will sell or publish your personal info on the dark web. They can use that information to set up other cards and accounts in your name. It could be an ordeal that lasts for years.
