Fort Myers Child With Cancer Has Dreams Of Taking Flight
5-year-old Ever Young was diagnosed with Leukemia.
Something a family never wants to hear.
But this won’t stop this little girl from achieving her dreams.
Ever since she stepped on board an airplane, she knew that that was her calling. She told her dad, “I want to fly one of these one day.”
Well, the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation stepped in to help.
She was given the opportunity to take a trip over to MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa where she was able to become a pilot for the day and fly on a flight simulator.
She was given a uniform and everything. Her dad said, “Getting that uniform off her was next to impossible. She slept with it for a couple days.”
Her cancer is in remission but she will have to continue chemotherapy until next summer.
Fly high little Evers!!
