Bradenton Woman, Michelle Haney, Arrested For Hiding Dead Body
Michelle Haney, 48, of Bradenton was arrested and is facing charges of abuse of a corpse and is being held on a $7,500 bond.
Haney hid the body of a 40-year-old man in a trash can at a neighbors house so she could continue to collect his Social Security benefits.
Jon Christopher Leonard died in July and the apparent cause of death was natural causes.
The two were living together at the time of his death in July. She kept his body in the closet before sealing it in a trash can. She then took the trash can to a neighbor’s home and told them that she would be back for it later.
Apparently, the neighbor had no idea what was in the trash can and alerted authorities after opening it up and discovering what was inside.
Junior is the producer of the Stan and Haney show. He is also a music producer and audio engineer. He was born in Sioux City, Ia, but has lived down in Southwest Florida since a young age.
