More Construction Is Heading To Downtown Fort Myers
Just after the completion of the Luminary Hotel, downtown Fort Myers is going to see many more projects starting to be constructed.
The area north of Edwards Drive between Heitman and Dean streets, which is part of Centennial Park, has been fenced off. They will be adding an ampitheatre in that spot for live music and events.
The ampitheatre is going to be a part of the newly renovated Caloosa Sound Convention Center and Ampitheatre, formerly known as the the Lee County Civic Center.
At the same time, the city pier building and most recently the Art of the Olympians museum will now become the Oxbow. The Oxbow will be a riverfront restaurant and will be located at 1300 Hendry St. It is owned by Mainsail, the same developers as the Luminary.
