Car Chase Ends With Gunshots After Home Invasion In Estero
Two men were arrested after a home invasion in San Carlos park.
They fled from the scene after police arrived and a chase ensued.
They only got as far as Alico Rd. and I-75 crashing into a ditch.
The suspects, Travis Rains and Jordan Gurke, then began to shoot at the deputies and ran off into the woods.
Aviation and K-9 units were dispatched to the scene and they managed to find the suspects hiding.
They were apprehended and charged with three counts of attempted murder of a police officer, resisting arrest without violence, battery on a K-9, and fleeing with lights and sirens activated.
No officers or civilians were injured.
