City Of Palms Park Has Been Reclaimed By The Fort Myers City Council

The Fort Myers City Council has voted to regain ownership of the City Of Palms Park. The City will take back ownership of the park once Lee County pays to demolish it.
The stadium is costing taxpayers millions of dollars.
Demolishing the park is one of the first steps of the Midtown Vision Plan, which was unveiled last year.
The Midtown Vision Plan aims to renovate the area between Cleveland Avenue, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, Evans Avenue and Edison Avenue.
