SWFL Man Gets Leg Ripped Off By Motorcyclist

Joseph Madden was driving in Fort Myers on Martin Luther King Jr. blvd before Ortiz Ave with his girlfriend and three daughters when his car broke down.
He got out of the car with jumper cables in hand trying to wave down drivers to help him. As he was trying to wave people down, a motorcycle hit him, ripping his leg off.
He was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital where he is in a coma and on a ventilator.
The motorcyclist stayed behind after the crash. Some family members wish he was more careful.
An investigation into the crash is underway and some want the blame to go to the motorcyclist.
The family was planning on moving to North Carolina but now, they may have to reconsider.
