Which Band Did Geddy Lee Stay Up All Night To See? Geddy Lee spent decades playing to sold-out arenas with Rush. But there’s only one band that Lee himself was willing to stand in line to see – his fellow prog-rock legends Yes.
Lee says he and a friend stood in line all night to buy tickets to see Yes the first time they played Toronto’s Maple Leaf Garden. They ended up with second-row seats for a show Geddy will “never forget”.
Lee says Yes is “still the only band I’ve lined up all night to see”. In 2017, he filled it for the late Chris Squire when Yes was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
