Stan’s Local Beat: Soldiers’ headstones knocked over at Alva Cemetery
In today’s Local Beat, we travel to Alva where Confederate soldiers’ gravestones have been vandalized at the Alva Cemetery!
According to NBC 2 News, the headstones were damaged sometime last week after tire tracks were spotted near the gravesite, and a torn-up Confederate flag was found on the ground next to the damage.
On Saturday, community members gathered to help return the grave yard to it’s original condition.
