News anchor screws up royally, creates the greatest news blooper ever
ABC 7 News anchor Bill Ritter had an embarrassing blunder on air, after he announced the death of 26-year-old Jack Allard.
Problem is, Jack did not die. He made a full recovery from the COVID-19 virus, making Bill look like an idiot!
According to the NY Post, “New York’s Bill Ritter was highlighting a local story about Jack Allard, 26, who was placed in a medically induced coma after becoming ill with the virus.”
Bill told the audience “after spending time on a ventilator and five full weeks in the hospital, the governor announced that Jack has died.”
Problem is, Jack made a full recovery and was completely fine!

Bill corrected himself, but the damage was already done, saying “I feel horrible. Jack is very much alive. Jack, we love you, Jack is alive and back home. He has come home, not in the figurative sense, but in the quite literal sense. My deepest apologies for that; I was just … misread everything and I apologize but he is alive and we are grateful for that.”
