Collier County residents warned of sextortion e-mail scam

Collier County residents have been warned about a sextortion e-mail scam, which claims a hacker has compromised the recipient's computer and used their webcam to record them while they watched porn.

According to NBC 2 News, "the hacker threatens to release the video to all the recipient's contacts, relatives, and colleagues unless they pay a Bitcoin ransom to a BTC address provided in the email."
