#FloridaMan Love Triangle ends when one man threatens to kill everyone at the Lee County Sheriff’s Office
Evan Maloney was arrested after he threatened to kill everyone at the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.
Evan Maloney was in love with a woman. That woman was involved in a relationship with another person. Even pretended to be that person, sent a text message in the man’s name stating he assaulted his girlfriend and was thinking of murder.
This escalated when Evan threatened to kill everyone at the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.
According to NBC 2 News, Maloney “posed as a man living on a boat at the Paradise Marina in North Fort Myers.
Maloney sent a message in the man’s name stating he assaulted his girlfriend and was thinking of murder.
Then the messages escalated to threatening to kill everyone in the sheriff’s office.
Using the man’s name from the threat, deputies traced the messages back to the marina in North Fort Myers.
They realized the guy who they thought was responsible was actually innocent, and someone else used his name.
The man had a hunch, so he told deputies to look into Maloney. Deputies tracked the IP address of the threatening messages, and Maloney’s address in Cape Coral came up.
Owen Nelson, who knows Maloney, said he suspects that Maloney faked being the man because he is in love with the other man’s girlfriend.
Deputies got a search for Maloney’s home, and they found the evidence they needed and arrested Maloney.
Maloney is facing charges for 6 counts of intimidation and sending written threats to kill.”
