#FloridaMan inmates get in fist fight over flatulence
Gilford Abshire, a 53-year-old homeless man, attacked his cellmate on Monday because his bunkmate complained over a courtesy flush.
According to NBC 5 News, Gilford was in jail on a battery charge.
The victim, a 65-year-old man, was in jail for violating his probation on DUI and drug-related charges.
The victim told deputies he was upset at Gilford for passing gas and asked him for a “courtesy flush” after Gilford used the cell toilet.
Instead, Gilford started kicking him while he was on the bottom bunk and then threw him across the cell before deputies intervened.
The victim was taken to Lower Keys Medical Center, where he was treated for three broken ribs, as well as a broken nose.
Gilford now faces two felony counts of aggravated battery for the assault!
