The challenge was inspired by a 2013 study that determined mice have a form of taste receptors in their testes.
TikTok users Alx James and Matthew Lush both filmed themselves putting soy sauce on their testicles, claiming they could taste the salt.
Doctors disproved the myth, explaining that even though the testes have taste receptors, it doesn’t mean they can taste flavors in the traditional sense.
