Disney World Fans Are Petitioning to Re-Theme Splash Mountain as ‘Princess and the Frog’

Disney and it’s affiliates have spoken out in their support of Black Lives Matter, but now some fans think they can do more. Some have taken to Twitter to speak out about Splash Mountain.

Splash Mountain is based on the 1946 Disney film Song Of The South which was widely criticized for it’s depictions of African Americans.

A thread on Twitter formed with one user showing depictions on how to change the ride into “Princess And The Frog”.

A petition has now been added to change.org to re theme the ride.

Disney has not made a statement yet on this matter.
