Sarasota County Next To Reopen Beaches With Restrictions
Sarasota County officials voted Wednesday morning to reopen beaches starting on Monday, April 27, according to NBC2.
The beaches, which have been closed since March 21 to help slow the spread of COVID-19, will be open to the public for essential activities like walking, running, fishing, surfing, and swimming.
Beachgoers will not be allowed to congregate and must practice social distancing. Umbrellas, towels, chairs, coolers, and alcohol are also not allowed.
Public parking will not be available. Concession stands and playgrounds will also be closed.
