Here is some mental health help in SWFL after the death of DJ “tWitch.” The news yesterday was shocking. It was shocking to fans and even to some of those who were closest to him. The sad news is once again shining the light on mental health in our nation and community.

“tWitch,” whose real name is Stephen Boss, was Ellen DeGeneres’ DJ on her daily talk show. A well-known dancer, he also became the show’s co-executive producer in 2020. Ellen posted on social media yesterday how heart broken she is over the news.

Allison Holker and Stephen “tWitch” Boss just celebrated their wedding anniversary.

He was found dead in an LA hotel room with what authorities are saying was a self inflicted gunshot wound. “tWitch” and is wife, Allison Holker had just celebrated their wedding anniversary. They met when paired together in the reality television competition show, “So You Think You Can Dance.” They’ve been together since.

Holker released this statement yesterday. “It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share my husband Stephen has left us. Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends and community above all else and leading with love and light was everything to him. He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans.”

The two have  three children, Weslie, 14, Maddox, 6, and Zaia, 3. He was 40-years old.
