Man Attacked By Tiger At Florida Everglades Attraction
It was just three months ago when a tiger attacked after a man stuck his arm into an enclosure at the Naples Zoo, and now in the same county a man was attacked by a tiger at a Florida Everglades attraction.
The incident happened Tuesday afternoon at Wooten’s Everglades Airboat Tours in Ochopee. The tiger was reportedly being fed by its caretaker when a 50-year-old male, an employee at Wooten’s who was not authorized to be with the tiger, entered the tiger’s enclosure. Officials said both of the man’s arms were injured in the attack.
There is no update on his condition. Neither the tiger or the caretaker were injured.
According to their website, Wooten’s is known for their airboat and swamp buggy tours, but also has an animal sanctuary with two tigers, two lions, otters, turtles, alligators and crocodiles.
