Arizona Woman Got ‘RIP TikTok’ Tattoo Before It Got Restored
A woman in Arizona got an “RIP TikTok” tattoo in honor of the app going away. However, it came back but the tattoo is here to stay.
People went a little crazy when they heard that TikTok was going to be going away. I saw videos of people crying even! You can’t blame them. TikTok is great for killing time and entertaining yourself. It was also a major source of income for a lot of people whose content took off and they were able to make a career on the site. So, you can’t blame people for freaking out when they found out the app was going to go away. You’d certainly never expect it to come back this quickly, either. This woman in Arizona who got an RIP TikTok tattoo certainly didn’t! Now, she will have that reminder of TikTok’s brief disappearance forever.
Did A Woman Get An ‘RIP TikTok’ Tattoo Before It Came Back?
This story has since gone viral online, including TikTok which is back by the way. It was only gone for, what, like a few hours? It didn’t last very long at all. However, Arizona tattoo artist Travis Meisenzahl, aka Jucebox, gave his wife a tattoo with a design intended to mourn the app. However, his timing was pretty poor as the app came back very quickly.
Dexerto says Jucebox gave his wife a tattoo of a gravestone with the TikTok logo and “2016-2025” written on it. After giving her the tattoo, it sounds like he got an alert that the app had plans to come back–and it did. Thankfully, him and his wife are finding the humor in it all. They’re used to things like this working in the tattoo industry. There are tattoo regrets all the time, I can imagine. You just don’t expect them so close to home. There’s still a chance that TikTok could end up going away for good, so maybe her tattoo will still be true, there’s a chance. However, until that happens it remains a reminder of an innocent mistake. The tattoo looks cool! So it would be a bummer to need to cover it or get it removed.
You can see a video that was shared by @Jucebox on his Instagram page showing the tattoo below. It’s captioned “Are you joking me right now” and that seems very appropriate. Do you or anyone you know have a tattoo that they quickly regretted?
