Chicago Woman Argues That Beds Are Overrated In Viral Video
A woman in Chicago is going viral for her impassioned argument that beds are overrated. Could she be onto something?
Do you think beds are overrated? Is this something you have ever thought about? Probably not. Personally, my bed might be my favorite noun. You can do everything in bed! You can sleep which is amazing, you can watch TV comfortably, you can eat, you can talk on the phone, listen to music, anything is possible on a bed! However, this woman in Chicago seems to disagree. She claims that beds are overrated and aren’t necessary. She even says she slept on a dog bed for years and loved it. She also says she only switched to a mattress because nobody would date her. Can you imagine going home with someone and when you arrive you realize they don’t have a bed? It would be pretty shocking! You can see the viral video shared by @subwaytakes below.
Are Beds Overrated?
Okay, this is nuts! The picture of her in the dog bed is crazy! People are not supposed to sleep on those! However, she did make some pretty good points. Putting a bed together is a lot of work. It’s not just a mattress on the floor (although it can be). You also have to assemble the frame and put on the sheets and that can be a lot of work. But you still have to do it! It all helps make the bed comfortable, and just like your clothing, yes, you have to wash it from time to time.
Not owning a bed would be crazy behavior! In fact, I remember one year in college I slept with my mattress on the floor and while it wasn’t terrible, it certainly wasn’t the most comfortable. Getting down and getting up was pretty tough. You have to get really low. Having done that for a brief period of time, there’s no way I could ever go without a bed again. Maybe it works in college and that lifestyle, but as an adult there’s just no excuse. You need a bed. What do you think? Did she make some good points? Would you be willing to go without a bed? She seems really passionate about this subject! They really picked the right person on the subway! I just can’t get over the thought of coming home with a woman who doesn’t have a bed. We’re just expected to get busy on the floor. Although, it would make for a great excuse to leave after to go back home to your comfy bed which you certainly have.
