Naked Man Arrested After Causing A Scene At A Delaware Restaurant
A naked man was arrested after causing a scene at a Delaware restaurant. It, also, might not be his first time getting in trouble with the law.
The incident happened at the Southern Grille on Main Street in Ellendale, Delaware. Customers at the restaurant seemingly got more than they asked for when a man was arrested for running through the establishment naked and then trying to attack people, per WMDT. Reports say he was trying to stab people! You don’t want to be stabbed by a naked man at a Delaware restaurant. The man has since been identified as William H. Hicks, Jr. It sounds like it wasn’t easy bringing him into custody as he didn’t listen to troopers’ commands and had to be tased. Eventually, they were able to take him into custody.
Naked Man Causes Chaos At Delaware Restaurant
Witnesses described the scene to WMDT and it sounds pretty crazy! One witness told WMDT that Hicks struck them in the face while another said he was going up to several tables and tried to eat their food all while being naked. If a naked man approaches you wanting some of your food, you should probably just give it to him. I don’t want any sort of argument or fight to start. I would just want him out of there as soon as possible, if not sooner.
After being arrested, Hicks was reportedly taken to a local hospital where court documents say he told nurses that he didn’t know how he got to the restaurant or why he was naked. He did admit to smoking marijuana, per WMDT. He’s now facing many charges including counts of indecent exposure. It sounds like nobody at the restaurant was injured during the chaos. That’s good news.
While this all sounds wild, it wasn’t his first run-in with the law. Back in 2011, he was arrested in connection with a shooting of a 35-year-old male. It sounds like he was accused of holding the victim up at gunpoint and demanded drugs and money, per Delaware Online. Several shots were reportedly fired in that case as well. The victim did end up surviving that shooting despite serious injuries suffered. He also got in trouble for trafficking heroin, per Delaware Online. He has 12.18 grams of heroin discovered in his vehicle during a traffic stop.
