Alice Cooper to Rock Fort Myers: Legendary Shock-Rocker Set for 2025 Performance
Rock legend Alice Cooper will hit the stage at Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall in Fort Myers on Feb. 7, 2025. After leading Billboard’s album sales with “Detroit Stories” in 2021, he’s still going strong — spending most of the year touring and bringing his wild shows to audiences worldwide.
Starting in Phoenix’s high school music scene before catching Frank Zappa’s attention in 1969, Cooper’s rise to fame took off. His band hit it big with “Love It to Death” in 1971, leading to a string of huge hits like “School’s Out” and the groundbreaking “Billion Dollar Babies.”
Famous for his outrageous performances, Cooper combines heavy metal with elements such as electric chairs and fake blood. His 1975 hit “Welcome to My Nightmare” brought this dark vision to life through an incredible tour and TV special.
Since 2004, he’s been hosting “Nights with Alice Cooper,” now playing in nearly 100 cities across four countries. Movie fans know him from “Wayne’s World,” while others enjoy his 2007 book “Golf Monster.”
“Detroit Stories,” his newest album, honors his hometown’s raw musical roots through fresh versions of 60s classics. When COVID-19 hit in 2020, it only briefly slowed him down — he was back on tour the following year.
Cooper’s game-changing impact on rock landed him a spot in rock history with his 2011 Hall of Fame induction.
