Southwest Florida To Welcome 13 New Restaurants in 2025
New restaurants are coming to Southwest Florida this year. LadyCakes opened New Year’s Day kicking off the lineup in Cape Coral as the first of thirteen new spots popping up from Fort Myers Beach to Estero.
LadyCakes moved to bigger space after winning “Best Bakery” titles ten years straight. “When you walk in the door, you’re immediately greeted with just fun, creative energy,” said owner Bess Charles to The Cape Coral Breeze.
Downtown Fort Myers got its first taste of Sip & Sizzle on January 6. Later in the month, Fresh Catch Inland opens its doors at Coconut Point Mall.
Florida Boy Burger Co. will open its second spot in Cape Coral in February. Spring brings three new places to The Cove at 47th – Aqua, Big Nick’s BBQ, and Oak & Stone.
In summer, Tap 42 opens it’s twelfth Florida location at Bell Tower in Fort Myers, featuring rooftop dining and classic American food.
Two restaurants hit hard by the storms are making a comeback. Both The Bubble Room and Mucky Duck plan to reopen on Captiva in late 2025. Meanwhile, Bonita Fish Company takes over the old Bonita Bill’s location by mid-year in Fort Myers Beach.
In addition to these new restaurants, you can enjoy food festivals throughout 2025. Fort Myers Taste of the Town comes in February, with BBQ, Bands & Brew cooking up fun in March.
