Lady Makes Star Trek Mistake!
A New York Woman Made A Star Trek License Plate Mistake
We know that Al Beck is a gigantic Star Trek fan. But, has he met his match? This lady in New York with a Star Trek inspired license plate has been receiving fines for other people’s traffic tickets for years. She went to the news to try and help with her issue.
According to Inside Edition, “A woman’s love of Star Trek seems to have put her in an unusual and an expensive situation. Beda Koorey, 76, told her story to WCBS in New York. She says she was such a fan of the show she made the starship Enterprise’s number NCC 1701 her license plate. She says she gave up driving in 2020 and surrendered her plates. Unfortunately, other possible-Star Trek enthusiasts are able to purchase a fake license plate with the same number online.” She’s the one receiving fines for those other drivers.
So, when you see what this lady is dealing with, it’s really devastating. She has piles of mail, which are all traffic violations. She has multiple computers set up to deal with the situation, and the world’s largest magnifying glass. As we know, her eyes are really bad, which is why she gave up driving, but where do you even get a magnifying glass that big.
Al is the only one who can begin to understand how this lady feels. Being one of the biggest Star Trek enthusiasts you’ll ever meet, Al thinks this woman’s license plate is awesome. We think it might have given him some ideas. He jokes that he needs to make some changes to a license plate order he placed already.
We’ll keep you updated on the story. Will this Star Trek enthusiast ever get her license plate unregistered? We hope she gets some help and doesn’t get stuck with all the fines.
