Saw-Like Tool and Pottery Used in Bizarre Florida Road Rage Incident

Florida, where even arguments over wrong-way driving turn into a DIY episode gone wrong. This time, a 61-year-old man in North Fort Myers decided to ditch any notion of sanity and resolve things with a “saw-like tool” and a piece of ceramic pottery. Totally normal right? This dude turned a traffic argument into an makeshift weapons showcase.

According to NBC2, deputies got a call about some drama on South Center Drive. Apparently, two guys got into it over some wrong-way driving. But instead of just yelling or flipping someone the bird, Rolando Ruiz Alonso went totally medieval and started swinging a saw-like tool at the other guy. Now, as if that wasn’t enough, he found some ceramic pottery and thought, Why not make it a nice weapon combo?

Now, we have to give some credit to the victim because he didn’t suffer any serious injuries, but still, getting attacked with random tools and pottery is no one’s idea of a fun afternoon. It’s just a really weird one, that’s for sure. I’ve heard of just about every kind of weapon used by the Florida man… But Pottery? A saw-like tool? That’s a first.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office wants people to know loud and clear that if you pull stunts like this, you are getting cuffed and carted off to jail. And honestly? That’s probably where Ruiz Alonso needs to be, because who knows what other Pottery Barn specials he’s got lying around?

Sounds like this dude needs to chill. Maybe he should get a hobby and relax a little. Well. One thing is for certain, that hobby is NOT pottery. Maybe try painting?

𝙎𝘼𝙒 𝙎𝙒𝙄𝙉𝙂𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝘼𝙏𝙏𝘼𝘾𝙆 𝙇𝙀𝘼𝘿𝙎 𝙏𝙊 𝘽𝘼𝙏𝙏𝙀𝙍𝙔 𝘼𝙍𝙍𝙀𝙎𝙏 “If you commit violent crime of any kind, I promise my deputies WILL arrest you and take you to jail! We have law and order in Lee County ,” stated Sheriff Marceno. “Our residents deserve to feel safe in their own communities!” On December 3, 2024, 1st Precinct deputies responded to a disturbance at South Center Drive between two men. Deputies learned the two men were involved in an altercation regarding wrong way driving with 𝙍𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙤 𝙍𝙪𝙞𝙯 𝘼𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙤 (𝘿𝙊𝘽 10/4/1963) as the primary aggressor. According to evidence collected, Ruiz Alonso began swinging a saw-like tool toward the victim as the argument intensified, eventually striking the victim. Ruiz Alonso additionally used a piece of ceramic pottery as a weapon. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries. Based on their investigation, deputies established probable cause to arrest Ruiz Alonso for Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon.
