A Southwest Florida Gas Station Sold A $2 Million Scratch-Off Ticket
With the holiday season upon us it sure would be nice to have some extra money to spend and a Southwest Florida gas station sold a $2 million scratch-off ticket.
Whether you’re staying in Southwest Florida for Christmas this year or traveling, we know that the holidays can get expensive. Between gas for the car or a plane ticket, gifts for everyone on your nice list, food for a festive feast, lights and decor for your home..it all adds up. This weekend between Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping, the deals help ease the pain a bit, but having some free money land in your lap this time of year sure would be a treat. Or rather, a gift that keeps on giving. And one Fort Myers woman in $2 million richer after winning on a scratch-off ticket sold at a Southwest Florida gas station.

Every time I hear a story like this I’m inspired to run out and grab a scratch-off ticket or 2. I love playing the games that take me a little longer to scratch like the Monopoly, crossword and bingo games. I feel like I’m really getting my moneys worth. And while I’ve won small amounts here and there, I’ve never won anything close to $2 million, which would be life changing! But one Fort Myers woman did.
According to West Orlando News, Macina Rametta of Fort Myers puchased a $10 Monopoly Secret Vault scratch-off ticket from Speedway on 4960 Palm Beach Boulevard in Tice and turned that purchase into $2 million. She chose to receive her winnings in a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1,153,865.
I don’t know what this woman’s plans are, but if I won all that cash, I think I’d commission a private jet and take my family on a big holiday trip. Bali, Fiji, Tahiti? Maybe we’ll hit all 3!
Congratulations Macina! Talk about a Merry Christmas!
