Deadly Hot Or Not? Woman NOT Jailed For Stabbing Someone More Than 100 Times
This California woman is receiving two years of probation and 100 hours of community service for killing her date, whom she stabbed 108 times, according to KRCR-TV. That’s an hour of community service per stabbing!
Initially, Bryn Spejcher was facing four years in prison after a Ventura County jury convicted her of involuntary manslaughter in December. However, according to KTLA, the judge took her lack of a criminal record, community standing, and her cannabis-induced psychotic disorder into consideration during her sentencing.
According to her lawyers, she was “involuntarily intoxicated” when she killed Chad O’Melia whom they claim pressured her into taking a third hit from a bong, per KRCR-TV. That’s when reports say she fell into a “drug-induced, dissociative fugue-like state” after having a bad reaction to the weed. That’s when she stabbed OMelia before turning the knife on herself and her dog, per KRCR-TV.
When law enforcement arrived at the scene, KRCR reports she was screaming “hysterically” and was tasered and struck several times by a baton before being disarmed.
Well, the judge agreed with a forensic psychologist who says Spejcher was unconscious during the incident, per WKRC. According to the Ventura County Star, the judge stated that, “she had no control over her actions” because of the drugs.
However, Chad’s family disagrees with the sentencing. According to the Ventura County Star, his Uncle Brandon said, “There is no winner in this tragedy. There can be, however, accountability.” Likewise, his father is concerned about the precedent this sets. KTLA reports he said, “I think he set an absolute terrible precedent in the state of California, where it’s okay to kill somebody after you smoke marijuana.”

It could be because of the story behind the arrest. They are definitely always entertaining. Or, the draw could be from wondering if they are indeed hot or not.
There are some crimes you would never believe an attractive person could do. Yet, when you see the reveal in the mugshot–that theory is quickly proven wrong. It turns out, hot people can commit ugly crimes. Just like people deemed “ugly” can commit crimes that you’d only expect a hot person to do. Turns out, “ugly” people take their clothes off, too. Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
