We love our beaches here in Southwest Florida and a big Collier County beach cleanup is taking place this month.
Next Saturday, September 16 Keep Collier Beautiful is inviting Collier County residents to volunteer for the 38th annual International Coastal Cleanup. According to a press release, the event takes place at select beaches, canals and waterways between Naples, Marco Island and beyond from 8-11 a.m.
When it comes to protecting our environment, especially one as beautiful as ours here in Florida, it’s important to come together when we can for a good cause. Some of the locations they’re looking for volunteers include Lake Trafford, Tiger Tail Beach on Marco Island, Clam Pass, Haldeman Creek and Bluebird Beach Access. There’s 10 locations all together with different numbers of volunteers needed.
Registration is free for this community-wide effort and they are encouraging pre-registration for the event.
