Florida Man Patio Burglary to Juice Up Phone Results in Drug Bust
He’s at it again. There never seems to be a shortage of good Florida Man stories to brighten your day. They are everywhere from Cape Coral to Miami. The Florida man never disappoints. Today we meet Anthony Stravino, he had a stroke of genius and decided to break into someone’s patio to charge his phone. Who needs wall outlets or charging cables when you’ve got the great outdoors!
According to Fox 13, It was a peaceful morning in Spring Hill, and a woman opened her door to let her furry pals roam free. But what does she stumble upon? None other than Anthony, the mysterious patio-dweller, sitting pretty and plugging his phone into an outlet like he’s at his own private five-star resort.

Thankfully, an off-duty deputy happened to be passing and sprang into action, detaining our phone-charging bandit, who looked as calm as a beach bum on vacation, sipping a fruity piña colada. When asked about his peculiar presence, Anthony casually dropped the line that he thought he was at his girlfriend’s place but couldn’t quite remember where it was. Oops.

Meanwhile, the homeowner stood there in shock, wondering who let this uninvited guest crash her patio party. Spoiler alert: she didn’t. She promptly informed the deputies that she had never laid eyes on Mr. Stravino and certainly hadn’t granted him the VIP pass to her property.
Now, prepare yourselves for an unexpected twist in this crazy tale. As the authorities delved deeper into the investigation, they stumbled upon a special surprise left behind by our patio-charging criminal. It was a small plastic baggie of heroin. Surprise! But wait, there’s more! This weirdo also had another bag of heroin on him and a charming bag of methamphetamine in his trusty backpack.
As you can imagine, Anthony is now facing charges of burglary, drug trafficking, possession of narcotics, and possession of paraphernalia. Well, I guess charging his phone is the least of his worries now.
Remember, if your battery is running low, don’t resort to breaking and entering. There are better, legal ways to charge up your devices. And if you ever find yourself tempted to take the Florida Man route, just remember: leave the drugs at home. Stay charged responsibly!
