A Runaway Steer Gets Wrangled By Cowboy On Michigan Highway
A steer that escaped during transport and has been on the run for 6 weeks in Michigan was finally caught on Sunday.
Michigan State Police released dash cam video of a man on a horse chasing down the big animal on the side of the highway.
The chase eventually made its way onto the expressway, which was temporarily shut down at the time, in the footage you can see the steer get lassoed by the man on the horse.
Lester had been wandering for six weeks along I-75 near Holly, but was caught on Sunday. He and fellow cattle where being moved to a new farm when the two-ton bovine managed to slip away.

The steer’s name is ‘Lester’ and managed to get loose while being transported to a new farm. He had been on the run for the last couple months until people started spotting him along I-75 near Holly, MI.
It took a team of cowboys, State Troopers, four wheelers and a traffic shutdown for the successful capture of Lester.
