As it turns out, Lzzy Hale of Halestorm has a favorite Journey song, and it’s “Separate Ways.” Now, the singer and guitarist is teasing fans with news of a new cover of “Separate Ways” from Chris Daughtry.
“Get ready for @daughtry’s cover of Separate Ways (worlds apart) by @journeyofficial featuring ME! My favorite Journey song btw!” Hale said on Instagram. “I’ve wanted to release a duet with @chrisdaughtry since we went on tour together in 2013. It’s not everyday that I get the opportunity to parley with a vocalist who is just as devoted ( i.e. nerdy) as I am. What a talent he is…as well as being such a wonderful human to be around! Thank you Chris for asking me to the prom. 💜😈”
Halestorm also released a teaser clip for the song. Watch the teaser clip and Hale’s message below.
