Beloved SWFL Chef Dies After Battle With COVID-19
Shannon Yates, a well known and well loved chef in Southwest Florida has died after a battle with COVID-19.
Yates was most recently at Nevermind Awesome Bar & Eatery in the Cape, but also was a part of many other restaurants over the years, including Cru and Bacchus.
Over the weekend, Nevermind posted on social media that Yates was in the hospital struggling with the virus and the restaurant held a rally on Saturday in support.
Yates was just 49 years old with two sons. He will be missed.
