ICYMI: Muse Launches New Month-Long Video Campaign
Muse‘s just-released new lyric video for the song “Dig Down” is apparently the tip of the iceberg for the British trio.
The group plans to release a new lyric video every day for the next month, posting them at ai.muse.mu. The clips will make use of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, edited by the Miami-based art and technology collective Branger_Briz.
In a statement the company says that, “AI is so often deployed in a very invisible way. So it was exciting to collaborate on a project with the band that brings it to the fore. We think it’s important to have public discourse about the promise and perils of these emerging and incredibly influential technologies and it’s great to work with Muse to instigate those conversations.”
Still promoting its 2015 album Drones, Muse returns to the road on July 15 in Ottawa for a short, spread-out North American run that includes an August 3 appearance at Lollapalooza in Chicago, with a trio of August U.K. dates (including an August 19 charity show in London for The Passage) sandwiched in the middle.
