The turkey has been carved, the left overs are piling up and nap time is over. Now it’s time to get out, move your body and enjoy the weather. Here are 8 things to do Thanksgiving weekend in SWFL for the entire family.

Traditionally, the weekend after Thanksgiving is prime time to get ready for Christmas. Putting up the tree, stringing outdoor lights, and other decorating begins. Or at least the process of unpacking the decor from storage.

To fuel the festive fire, there are more than a couple holiday events and tree lighting ceremonies taking place. Find them below.

But first, it’s hard not mention Black Friday shopping. It may be the highlight of your weekend as the sales are no longer limited to one day. Many shopping destinations also have special events and tree lightings.

Shopping is not limited to the malls. There are a couple of art shows in Southwest Florida this weekend where you can find unique, locally made items for those unique individuals on your gift list.
