Hey you sweet treat lovers. Did you hear that Insomnia Cookies opens in Fort Myers this weekend? It’s true and it’s super exciting to anyone who loves decadent cookies, cakes, ice cream and more. Especially if you have those cravings late at night. Hence the name insomnia. The store is famous for staying open until the wee hours of the morning.
The grand opening is even late. It’s Saturday, February 4th, beginning at 8pm and lasting through 3am. It’s a pajama party. The first 50 people in line dressed in PJ’s get thanked with special prizes. How fun is that. And just in time for Valentines Day. I mean, just look at their Valentines Day goodies…dang.
The Sweet Dreams Valentine’s Day collection has delicious red velvet cake, along with a vegan version. The cake is make into brooks, cookies and even mixed into ice cream. Add them to your Valentine’s celebration for that extra little sweet touch.

The bakery is located just south of Florida Gulf Coast University in the University Village Shopping Center. They also deliver to FGCU’s campus and are looking for some sweet drivers. The company was actually started by a college student, Seth Berkowitz, in his dorm room at the University of Pennsylvania. Insomnia Cookies has since grown to include 236 bakeries nationwide. The opening of this one mark’s the 10th location in Florida. Insomnia Cookies opens in Fort Myers this weekend. And by many accounts, it’s not soon enough.
