ICYMI: Royal Blood Announce Headlining 2018 Show Dates
Royal Blood is playing a few U.S. concerts this month — including tonight (December 5) in Houston — but the British duo will be back to play its own headlining shows in the spring.
After a six-date opening run with Queens Of The Stone Age in May, Royal Blood unveiled 11 of its own shows stretching to June 15. The group will be continuing to promote its sophomore album, How Did We Get So Dark?, and singer-bassist Mike Kerr says he and drummer Ben Thatcher have become completely locked in as a live act since they emerged during 2012:
“I think we as a band just have more experience under our belts. I think, y’know, the world of touring is taking us to a whole new kind of realm, I guess. That’s not something you can buy; It’s experience and, yeah, the chemistry between Ben and myself is enhanced and strengthened both musically and emotionally.”
How Did We Get So Dark? debuted at No. 1 on the U.K. charts in June and spawned the singles “Lights Out” and “I Only Lie When I Love You.”
