Florida Family Receives Calls from Grandparents Missing in Condo Collapse
A Florida family keeps receiving phone calls from their grandparents’ landline. What’s strange about that? The grandparents are among the 152 people who are still unaccounted for in the Surfside condominium building collapse.
Jake Samuelson says the calls started a few hours after last week’s collapse and he’s received at least 16 so far. But every time, there’s only static on the other end. “We were just shocked,” Samuelson says. “We are trying to rationalize what is happening here. We are trying to get answers.”
However, when those answers will come is anybody’s guess. Rescue crews are still digging through the rubble in search of the over 150 missing residents.
